In the forum was noted some out of print titles that seem to have sparked some interest in the market. The first is Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Beginning of the End. It seems that when one of these goes out of print, the demand becomes extremely high. It shows how great these shows were and that the fan base is as strong as ever. I particularly always loved those shows (although the later episodes I remember not enjoying as much).
Another DVD mentioned is Double Dragon, both the regular and Uncut Version. Based on the popular video game of the late 80's, pre-Immortal Kombat, if my memory serves well. This DVD is out of print, but appears that the uncut version is more demanded among collectors.
The Thief, a Russian film from the late '90's, a nominee for Best Foreign Film. Released from Sony Pictures, you will see that it has a high asking price among sellers on Amazon. You will see that there are not that many around.
Lastly, another classic film is My Dinner With Andre. Released from Fox Lorber Home Video, this DVD will certainly gain attention from not only collectors, but fans of the film and Louis Malle, its director.
So that is the most recent update in what is OOP in the DVD market. I am sure there are some of these floating around in stores that have yet to be found.
