Well, looking back at this past couple of weeks, it appears Salo still is able to command high prices. I think this time of year, near tax time, people are a little more cautious than normal. Thus, three copies of Salo sold respectively at $400.00, $340.00 and $300.00 (all used). My So-Called Life is still demanding alot of attention with a set that sold at $305.00. The Muppet Show Collection is also screaming at $266.00 for the entire 15-Disc set brand new. Would you say the current trend is to seek boxed sets preferably over single issue DVD's? It appears to be the case - almost. I dont want to imply that single-DVD movies are not sought after, but the majority of the top priced DVD's are the boxed sets, such as the ones mentioned here. It could be that, by the mere fact you are getting more than one DVD suggests more money. But quantity does not support quality (at least not for me). I am a firm believer of "you pay for what you get". You will not get the same Metropolis from Alpha Video as you would from Kino Video. The difference? About 20 bucks.
