Netflix to offer Movie Downloads
Netflix is going to be offering a download service via set top box, which will easily compete with current Pay-Per-View options by cable companies. This could come as a seperate service in addition to or in leu of your current Netflix plan, the business model is still being worked out but could launch as early as this year.

Blu-Ray launches next week
Next week, Sony's high-def format Blu-Ray will release various titles to coincide with the release of a player from Samsung. So far only about 10 titles are being released, like Terminator, Resident Evil: Apocalypse; The Fifth Element; Underworld: Evolution; XXX and few more sequels. The player is starting at $999.
I am still waiting to see what happens in this war of formats before I can even say which format I will adopt.
