While exploring the world of internet DVD websites, I focused on upcoming titles from various distributors and some exciting stuff is on our way.

We are plenty aware of the Stanley Kubrick Collection being re-released, but I discovered as well that it will include the excellent 2 1/2 hour documentary A Life in Pictures. Sadly the set will only include 5 of the movies, while a few others will also get re-released. I am not sure how they differ, save perhaps some remastering in the form of Lolita and Barry Lyndon. You can also view the official website here. The older releases are not from Warner Brothers, so they wont be in the set and are still available.  All of the Harry Potters are being re-released in 1-disc editions, full screen or wide screen, as well as Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. In addition is the Limited Edition Gift set, which includes all 5 of the films up to date. Looks as though Breaker Morant will be re-released through Image Entertainment as well as a Blu-Ray edition.

Paramount is set to re-release the first film from the Walking Tall trilogy. Deep Discount.

Hoping to get a few extra bucks out of the Ghost Rider film this holiday, Sony is releasing a boxed set with a "Premium Item". Deep Discount. 

 

I noticed the boxed set are becoming "Gift Sets", as they add more things to the set that are not DVDs and no longer in the shape of a box.
